Abstraction is sometimes useful, but for a viable change, concrete actions are needed to give a project a whole new dimension. At Greenercoin, we are aware that the eco-friendly blockchain and the accessibility of our token through green contract mining are not enough. We need to go further and act visibly in rural and urban areas. Of course, we can’t destroy all the nuclear power plants and water tables in the world with a pickaxe. However, planting trees in forests and installing solar panels in our daily environment seem to be the best solutions to reduce our environmental impact. This also has an important moral dimension.
But then, how are we going to redesign the Earth with the planting of trees and the installation of solar panels?

One marketplace, many possibilities
Who said that our project was limited to an eco-responsible blockchain? Certainly not us! Indeed, Greenercoin has more than one asset up its sleeve. In addition to being ecologic, our project also offers an innovative marketplace accessible via Greenercoin. On this marketplace, it will be possible to make our future more sustainable, responsible and viable, just like our start-up. How does it work? It’s very simple, let us explain.
Our marketplace accessible through our website will be launched at the same time as our Greenercoin project. We’re looking forward to introducing you to all the sustainable development opportunities we’ve selected for you. For example, you’ll be able to find products from the circular economy, organic farming, renewable energy, and much more.
If you want specific examples, know that we are forging partnerships with companies that specialize in manufacturing eco-responsible products such as natural cosmetics, organic cotton clothing, ethical fashion accessories, solar panel manufacturers, and many more. Moreover, our marketplace will be accessible to everyone, without exception, because we believe that sustainability should be accessible to all. You will be able to find products at all prices, for all needs and for all tastes. We are convinced that sustainability is the future, and we are proud to propose an innovative solution to achieve it.
A burned token, a planted tree
If you read our whitepaper carefully, in the tokenomics section, you’ll notice that we’ve made it so that for every burn of a token worth $20 or more, a tree will be planted. You may be wondering what a token burn is and why we chose it?
A token burn refers to the voluntary and permanent removal of tokens from a given crypto-currency. This means that these tokens are removed from circulation and can no longer be used for transactions or exchanges. Burns are performed to reduce total supply, boost demand and correct distribution errors. They may also be done to comply with regulations. Burns must be done in a transparent manner to ensure trust in the system.
The second question: How will Greenercoin go about planting trees?
The answer is very simple, once the tokens are destroyed (tokens over $20), the funds will be used directly to buy plantations in large quantities. Then, they will be planted either through our partner companies like the UN , or by us, the Greenercoin foundation members. By planting trees, we are not only doing something for the environment, but we are also investing in a more sustainable future for ourselves and for future generations. Trees are essential for air quality, biodiversity, soil maintenance and climate regulation. Ultimately, planting trees is a simple but effective solution to climate change.
But our commitment to the environment doesn’t stop there. We also plan to implement projects to reduce air and water pollution, as well as to promote renewable energy. We believe that blockchain technology can be used to drive sustainability and innovation across all sectors, and we are determined to use our platform to achieve this goal.
Scientific point: photosynthesis (O2 production)
We said earlier that trees produce oxygen (O2) through photosynthesis, no need to dig out your biology lessons, we will explain how this process works in a pictorial way.
Namely, photosynthesis is produced by all plant cells. The Amazonian forest remains to this day, despite deforestation, one of the best producers of natural O2.
But then what is photosynthesis?
Imagine an party in a plant cell. Granted, the party room is not very big, but let’s move on. The guests at this party are light (the fuel, the energy of our tree), chloroplasts (organelles that store energy), and mitochondria (organelles that convert energy). All these guests dance and from this agitation O2 escapes (a bit like transpiration).
In short, photosynthesis is a memorable party where light, chloroplasts and mitochondria come together to produce food and oxygen in large quantities.
For those who only understand it scientifically, photosynthesis is a complex process that allows plants to produce oxygen and food from sunlight, water and carbon dioxide. By capturing light energy, plants convert water and carbon dioxide into glucose, simultaneously releasing oxygen into the air. This process is essential for the survival of all life on Earth, as it provides the oxygen we need to breathe and the food we eat.
By encouraging the planting of trees, we help increase the amount of oxygen produced, which helps maintain the delicate balance of our planet. We believe that every little bit helps and that planting trees can have a significant impact on the environment.
So do you see why tree planting at Greenercoin is so important to us?
Again, we repeat ourselves, but many small actions lead to big changes. A city that runs on solar energy is possible in the next few years. Greenercoin believes in humanity and hopes that everyone will become aware of this. Yes, renewable energy is the solution, and yes, we must help our chloroplast and mitochondria friends to fight our common enemy: pollution. But we can’t do it alone, we need your help, your support, so stay informed to move towards greener days.
